Dr. Nneka O. Brooks M.D

Dr. Nneka Brooks is a dedicated ophthalmologist specializing in the diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of diseases of the retina and vitreous.

After completing her undergraduate studies at Princeton University, Dr. Brooks received her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She followed that with an internship at New York Hospital Queens and then completed a residency in ophthalmology at Rutgers University at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Due to her dedication to patient care, she received the prestigious Alford A. Cinotti Resident Award.  Dr. Brooks then went on to a vitreoretinal fellow at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA.

Dr. Brooks is currently a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Mount Sinai Hospital and has affiliations with The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, NY. Dr. Brooks has co-written professional papers and given presentations at several meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
